MISSION:
The Friends are excited to continue to serve their mission to:
- Promote literacy for all ages.
- Provide support for the library.
- Encourage the community to know and use the library’s valuable resources.
MEMBERSHIP / HELPER-SHIP:
Individuals who are interested in supporting our library and community are welcome to help in a few different ways.
- Some may be interested in becoming a member of the organization, attend monthly meetings and participate in organization decision-making.
- Some may want to help on occasion and for special events by volunteering for a single event, day, or activity.
EARLY CHILDHOOD LITERACY (ECL) COMMITTEE:
The ECL committee of the Friends was created specifically to help bring literacy to children. The Committee identifies, purchases and distributes books to children aged birth to 9 years to area day care centers, Head Start programs, and community resource agencies. The intent is to encourage young people to read and to help them create their own home libraries. Since its creation in 2014 the ECL Committee has donated nearly 7000 books to area youth.

The Friends are strong believers in Community Sustainability.
We think its important to think about caring for environmental, social, and natural resources to ensure continuation for next generations.
Below you will find information and resources we hope will help you to think about ways to contribute to sustaining our community.
“Don’t let the fact that you can’t do everything stop you from doing something.”
